Hygiene Hub is an Irish charity founded in 2019 to address the growing issue of hygiene poverty, a result of individuals lacking access to essential personal care and cleaning products. Started by CiĆ”ra Dalton, Sorcha Killian, and Rosie McDonagh, who saw a gap in community support, the organization has now grown into a nationwide network of volunteers operating across 10 counties. Through public donations, hygiene drives, and local partnerships, Hygiene Hub collects new and unused hygiene items, which are then distributed via schools, charities, and community groups to those in need.Ā
Here at Meaghers, we have partnered with Hygiene Hub since August 2024, with drop-off points located throughout our 10 stores. Between the period of September 2024 - February 2025, 210kg of household cleaning and personal hygiene products were collected from the Meaghers x Hygiene Hub drop-off points. This means over 70 families across Dublin have been supported directly through our partnership with the Hygiene Hub.Ā
