14 Day Kindness Challenge
"Life becomes beautiful when you learn to be as good to yourself as you are to others” This quote was the inspiration for our two week Valentines campaign this year. We have decided to challenge ourselves for a mere 30 minutes a day for 2 weeks, the tasks themselves are easy but the challenge lies in actually taking the time for you.
When you spend time alone, you get to focus on your own thoughts and feelings — and no one else’s. You don’t have to take anyone else’s needs into account — only your own. Spending time alone is a form of self-care. People who regularly partake in self-care are generally happier and calmer than those who don’t and it helps to prevent overload burnout.
Mental health professionals recommend that we spend at least 20 minutes a day doing something for ourselves. We are going for a solid 30 (or more). The exact number of minutes matters less than the fact that you actually do it. So are you going to join us ?
